Morning take: Jim Kelly on Ryan Fitzpatrick

Here are the most interesting stories Wednesday morning in the AFC East: Morning take: A good defense is always a quarterback's best friend. It can provide short fields and easy scoring opportunities, which didn't happen enough last season.
Morning take: This is a heartwarming story for Philbin. The season doesn't restart until training camp, so Philbin will get plenty of time to be with his family this summer.
Morning take: It's true that the league is softer in its mentality and because of rule changes -- but it's still a physical game. Harrison was tough, but it's hard for anyone to play two decades, past or present.
Morning take: I like the picks of linebacker Aaron Maybin and receiver Jeremy Kerley. These two did nothing but step up when their numbers were called last season. That's how you earn more playing time.
