The New England Patriots announced Friday that they will have joint practices against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Aug. 22-23. The two teams play in the preseason on Aug. 24.
The reigning AFC champions have been making calls this summer to find teams to scrimmage against. In addition to the Buccaneers in Tampa, New England also has joint practices scheduled against the New Orleans Saints on Aug. 7-8 at Gillette Stadium.
It should be a welcome change for players who often get tired of practicing against the same teammates for several weeks.
