Here are the most interesting stories Thursday in the AFC East: Morning take: Tebow has some skills but is pretty bad as a quarterback. The Jets also are bad as a team. That's a tough question.
  • Former NFL head coach Steve Mariucci says the Buffalo Bills can build a franchise around quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Morning take: I disagree with Mariucci. Fitzpatrick is not a franchise quarterback. He's too streaky to make the Bills a consistent winner. Buffalo would be smart to draft a top quarterback in the first two rounds next year, one who can eventually take over the starting job.
Morning take: This is good news, because Mallett must perform if Tom Brady gets injured. Mallett is still an unknown commodity but is working hard to stay ready.
Morning take: The young Dolphins have lost two in a row and have an interesting test Thursday night against Buffalo. Things could go downhill fast if they can’t bounce back.
