Morning take: Tebow's broken ribs

Here are the most interesting stories Friday in the AFC East:
  • New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow admits he had two broken ribs as a reason he didn't play in a loss to the New England Patriots.
Morning take: Fans were screaming for Tebow on Thanksgiving. But it looks like that must wait a while. New York's quarterback situation is a mess that won't be fixed any time soon.
  • The Patriots are pushing for a top seed in the AFC and a deep run in the playoffs after pounding the Jets, 49-19.
Morning take: The Houston Texans are winning but you have to wonder if they peaked a little early. The Patriots are hitting their stride and still have room to get better. You always have a chance with quarterback Tom Brady and coach Bill Belichick.
  • Can the Buffalo Bills' defense stop the big-play ability of Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck?
Morning take: Buffalo’s defense was terrible this year but has played better as of late. Facing Indianapolis on the fast turf will be a stern test for the Bills.
Morning take: Matthews’ improvement has allowed Miami to cut veteran receiver Jabar Gaffney. Matthews has the potential to be a late-round steal for Miami.
