Here are the most interesting stories Sunday in the AFC East:
  • The Miami Dolphins will have a tough task trying to slow down the offense of the high-powered New England Patriots.
Morning take: Miami’s defense is solid against the run. But I do not like the matchup between New England’s passing game and Miami’s secondary. It could be a long day for the Dolphins’ defensive backs.
  • Patriots backup Trevor Scott could have a bigger role with the four-game suspension of defensive end Jermaine Cunningham.
Morning take: New England is thin at defensive end with Cunningham suspended and rookie Chandler Jones (ankle) injured. Scott is a veteran with plenty of experience who must step up.
  • New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan says the team's goal is to run the table in the final five weeks.
Morning take: New York should be thinking one game at a time. The Jets have an easy remaining schedule, but they are a mediocre team as well.
Morning take: Neck injuries can be tricky. Kelsay re-aggravated the injury over the weekend and should probably take time off to get back to 100 percent.
