Morning take: Lovie Smith and Bills?

Happy New Year to everyone in our AFC East community! Here are the most interesting stories in the division:
  • Former Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith is interested in the Buffalo Bills, NFL Network reports.
Morning take: Smith is a veteran coach with Super Bowl experience. He should get interest from several teams, and Buffalo could be one of those places.
Morning take: It looks like Tom Gamble of the 49ers and Marc Ross of the Giants are the early favorites. Those were the first two names to get interview requests. However, it will come down to who is willing to take on New York's big task of fixing its salary cap mess.
Morning take: Ninkovich is expected to return from the hip injury he suffered in the regular-season finale against Miami. The extra week off certainly helps players like Ninkovich and Pro Bowl tight end Rob Gronkowski (arm).
Morning take: There were questions of whether Tannehill was NFL ready and he proved the critics wrong. Now, Miami has to do its job and get enough quality skill players around Tannehill.
