Morning take: Patriots up next

January, 13, 2013
Here are the most interesting stories Sunday in the AFC East:
  • After an exciting start to the divisional round on Saturday, the New England Patriots are up next against the Houston Texans.
Morning take: This should be a physical game with Houston coming to Gillette Stadium with a chip on its shoulder. The winner of this game will host the AFC Championship Game next week.
Morning take: Wake, Miami’s only Pro Bowler, earned it after registering 15 sacks this season. Wake also doesn’t get enough credit for setting the edge in Miami's tough run defense.
  • Is Doug Marrone's hire by the Buffalo Bills promising?
Morning take: It’s an interesting hire because Buffalo is trying something different. But we won’t know for sure if this will work for at least two years.
Morning take: All of Buffalo’s assistants are now on the market following Marrone’s hire. This is an important position, because someone needs to get something out of Mark Sanchez or whoever is New York’s starting quarterback next season.
