Alfonzo Dennard was in court Wednesday

New England Patriots cornerback Alfonzo Dennard missed practice Wednesday due to a mandatory court appearance for an April arrest, Field Yates of ESPNBoston.com reports.

Dennard was charged with assault after being arrested in Lincoln, Neb., last year. The court appearance was delayed twice in July and November. Yates reports the trial is set for Feb. 11, 2013.
