Morning take: Will John Idzik run the Jets?

Here are the most interesting stories Friday in the AFC East:
  • ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Seattle Seahawks executive John Idzik is the favorite to land the New York Jets' open general-manager position.
Morning take: The Jets have a lot of work to do and need to make their decision sooner than later. Idzik had two interviews with the Jets and helped put together Seattle's playoff team. He would need to hit the ground running in New York.
  • Will the New England Patriots face the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII?
Morning take: These are the two favorites in the conference finals. But being the favorite doesn't always equal success. Both teams have to prove they are the best on the field.
Morning take: Western New York is an underrated area for NFL talent. Graham, the Gronkowskis and the Jones brothers are all from the region and doing well.
Morning take: All three receivers have their strengths and could help the Dolphins. Jennings would have the shortest learning curve, but it could come down to the best value.
