Here are the most interesting stories Friday in the AFC East: Morning take: It’s tough to rank Welker, because he is unique. He’s the best slot receiver in the NFL. However, conventional receivers like Greg Jennings, Mike Wallace and Dwayne Bowe could get bigger contracts in free agency.
Morning take: The Dolphins have not done much talking to their free agents. They have a lot of work to do and a lot of money to spend in the coming weeks and months.
Morning take: It’s important for Revis not to rush things. Rehab is going well and he doesn’t need any setbacks. The key will be getting ready for games in the fall.
  • Could the Buffalo Bills be in the market for San Francisco 49ers quarterback Alex Smith?
Morning take: Smith’s salary may be too rich for the Bills. The draft seems like the most cost-effective option in Buffalo.
