The Miami Dolphins have the No. 12 overall pick after going 7-9 in 2012. The Dolphins have various needs and can go in several directions.
Therefore, who should Miami select in the first round of the NFL draft?
Will the Dolphins boost their receiver corps with Tennessee receiver Cordarrelle Patterson? Miami is dangerously thin at the position and will attack it in free agency. Patterson is the best receiver in the draft and could bring big-play ability for young quarterback Ryan Tannehill.
What about defensive ends Ziggy Ansah and Barkevious Mingo? Both are athletic ends who can rush the passer. Miami needs another threat opposite Pro Bowl defensive end Cameron Wake. If Jared Odrick moves inside, could Ansah or Mingo take Odrick's place?
Finally, we have Texas safety Kenny Vaccaro. Dolphins starting safety Chris Clemons is a free agent and Vaccaro is the top-rated safety in the draft. Miami needs cornerbacks, but there may not be a strong option there at No. 12. Safety may be the next best option to boost the secondary.
