Here are the most interesting stories Friday in the AFC East: Morning take: This is interesting. I like Talib on the field because he covers more consistently. However, teams may view Smith as a safer investment due to Talib’s character issues.
Morning take: It’s possible. Lloyd had an inconsistent first year in New England, and he is due a roster bonus later this year. The Patriots could cut Lloyd if they have a better option in mind.
  • The San Francisco 49ers cool their jets on New York cornerback Darrelle Revis.
Morning take: It’s early. No team has to do anything with Revis until it’s close to draft time, if not later. The 49ers seem like a good landing spot considering their bevy of draft picks.
Morning take: Oakland is at No. 3 and Buffalo is five picks later. If the Raiders get excited over Smith, Buffalo has plenty of other needs to address in the first round.
