The hype from Tebowmania was all over the sports media this week after the New England Patriots signed popular quarterback Tim Tebow to a two-year contract. But Tebow’s contract is not guaranteed and only kicks in if he makes the team in training camp.
That brings us to our latest “Poll Friday” question in the AFC East: Will Tebow make New England’s 53-man roster this summer?
New England did not carry three quarterbacks last year. The team had starter Tom Brady, backup Ryan Mallett and preferred to use the open spot on another position. Tebow will have to show that he brings a certain element to the Patriots that they can use in the regular season. Tebow is not a good quarterback. But he may be able to help the Patriots at another position, with trick plays or on special teams.
Can Patriots coach Bill Belichick handle the added media attention and scrutiny that comes with Tebow or will he cut bait this summer?
