Morning take: Will Dion Jordan start?

July, 25, 2013
Here are the most interesting stories Thursday in the AFC East:
  • Dion Jordan, the Miami Dolphins' No. 3 overall pick in April's draft, said he expects to be a starter in the regular season.
Morning take: That’s the right mentality, but the reality is that Jordan still has plenty of work ahead. The defensive end has yet to participate in full-contact practice, and Olivier Vernon is tearing up the first week of training camp. This competition could go either way leading up to Week 1.
•'s Field Yates predicts that New England Patriots receiver Danny Amendola will play all 16 games and top 110 receptions.
Morning take: That is bold. I’m not as curious about the 110 receptions as much as Amendola playing all 16 games. He's an injury-prone player who must prove his durability.
Morning take: It’s not an easy task in 16 games. But the Bills have the aggressive defensive coordinator (Mike Pettine) to shoot for that goal. It’s going to take a more cohesive group this season and everyone on the same page.
Morning take: Edwards has performed well as a Jet and has a good rapport with quarterback Mark Sanchez. With the status of No. 1 receiver Santonio Holmes (foot) up in the air, this move makes sense.
