Safety Jairus Byrd arrived at the Buffalo Bills' practice facility on Thursday evening, the team announced on Twitter.

The Bills also said that Byrd will travel with the team for their preseason game against the Washington Redskins on Saturday. They did not say whether he will be in uniform or play in the game.

Byrd signed his one-year franchise tender on Tuesday night, one day before the Bills ended their training camp at St. John Fisher College. Byrd did not report for the start of training camp in July.

On Wednesday, the NFL granted a roster exemption for Byrd that begins next Tuesday, when teams must cut their rosters to 75 players, and expires on Aug. 30. Byrd can practice but cannot play while under the exemption.
