DAVIE, Fla. – Miami Dolphins Pro Bowl defensive end Cameron Wake isn’t thinking about the bye week. He wants to play Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens despite recovering from a sprained knee.

However, Wake admits that decision will be out of his hands. Similar to last week, Wake is doing all he can to prove to the training and coaching staff that he can return.

“I’m going to do everything I can to be ready for Sunday,” Wake said after practice. “Whatever decision is in the best interest of the team and the best interest for myself, that will be made on Sunday.”

Wake practiced Wednesday in at least a limited role. He also practiced all last week and was a game-time decision. Wake did drills before the New Orleans Saints game in front of Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin and trainers. But the team didn’t see enough from Wake and pulled the plug.

With another week of rest and recovery, Wake’s chances of playing have increased this week. However, he’s still not at 100 percent, which presents and interesting dilemma with one game left before the bye week.

“I feel better,” Wake said. “But we don’t play today. So we will see what happens on Sunday.”
