Johnson excused for death in family

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson was excused from practice Wednesday due to a death in the family, head coach Doug Marrone announced.

ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports that Johnson, who traveled to Sacramento, Calif., will also miss Thursday's practice but will return Friday.

The Bills will then make a decision if Johnson, who has a lower back injury, will play Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
