Weekend mail call:

Vince from Alamosa, Colo., wants to know if Denver could pursue Oakland free-agent defensive tackle Richard Seymour.

Bill Williamson: I don’t think he will be a priority signing. I could see a contender looking at Seymour as a rotational guy, so perhaps there could be interest. But Seymour is 33, he has been dealing with nagging injuries and his production has waned the past two seasons. I don’t expect him to break the bank.

Kenny from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., wants to know if Kansas City could re-sign Branden Albert and move him to guard, then take Texas A&M's Luke Joeckel with the No. 1 pick.

BW: I doubt it. Albert proved himself as a left tackle. He will want to be paid like one. If he doesn’t get that offer in Kansas City, he will have several suitors who want him at left tackle.

Michael from Los Angeles wants to know if the Chargers can take Notre Dame middle linebacker Manti Te'o with the No. 11 pick.

BW: Perhaps he is available at No. 11, depending on how teams feel about his bizzare saga. I think he could help the Chargers, and I think they’d consider him, but San Diego has to look at left tackle first. But if Te'o is high on San Diego’s list and there isn’t a left tackle available that it loves, I can see Te’o being considered.
