Arrington fined 21k for Luck hit

Patriots cornerback Kyle Arrington was fined $21,000 by the NFL for unnecessary roughness in last Sunday's win over the Colts. Arrington was specifically fined for helmet-to-helmet contact against a defenseless player (quarterback Andrew Luck).

This is Arrington's first known fine of the season.

The following are Patriots fines that have been announced by the NFL this season:

LB Brandon Spikes -- $25,000 (roughing passer on QB Ryan Fitzpatrick)
LB Jerod Mayo -- $10,000 (late hit on RB C.J. Spiller)
CB Alfonzo Dennard -- $7,875 (unnecessary roughness on QB Ryan Fitzpatrick)

vs. Colts
CB Kyle Arrington -- $21,000 (unnecessary roughness on QB Andrew Luck)
