The Patriots on Tuesday announced the signing of defensive tackle Tracy Robertson to their practice squad.

Robertson is an undrafted rookie from Baylor who originally signed with the Houston Texans following April's draft. He spent training camp with the Detroit Lions but was released at the end of the preseason.

The 6-foot-4, 280-pounder started 27 of 44 games played while at Baylor, recording 44 tackles and 7.5 sacks.

The Patriots had two open practice squad spots after promoting cornerback Malcolm Williams and receiver Kamar Aiken to their 53-man roster last Saturday.
