In a reminder that football is right around the corner, Patriots coaches returned to work today at Gillette Stadium.

The staff returns intact from last season, with two additions -- offensive assistant Brian Daboll and entry-level coaching assistant Jerry Shuplinski of John Carroll University.

Patriots rookies are scheduled to report Sunday, July 21, while veterans are due back on Thursday July 25. The first public practice is July 26 at 9 a.m. ET.

By returning a few days earlier than players, it allows time to go over practice schedules, installation plans and personnel discussions before the action truly starts to pick up.
