Pats re-sign Kanorris Davis to practice squad

October, 2, 2013
The Patriots have re-signed safety Kanorris Davis to their practice squad, it was announced on Wednesday.

Davis was promoted to the active roster on Saturday afternoon before a Week 4 win in Atlanta, playing 16 special teams snaps and appearing on all four core units.

The team had released veteran cornerback Marquice Cole on Friday, though he was re-signed on Tuesday. One possibility is that Cole, who had been dealing with a hamstring injury last week, was not going to be healthy enough to play on Sunday night, so the team promoted Davis with the idea in mind to re-sign Cole when he was back to full strength.

The Patriots now have a full practice squad at eight players.
