With Sunday's improbable 27-26 win over the Cleveland Browns, the Patriots have won three straight games in which they trailed by double digits in the second half. According to Elias, the last team to do that in one season was the 1993 Eagles (Weeks 2-5), who had Randall Cunningham at quarterback.

After Jason Campbell's touchdown pass to Jordan Cameron gave the Browns a 26-14 lead with 2:39 left, the Patriots' win probability dropped to 2.0 percent. After Tom Brady's touchdown pass to Julian Edelman pulled the Patriots within 26-21 with 1:01 to play, it still was only 2.5 percent because the Patriots had no timeouts and had to recover an onside kick.
