IRVING, Texas – Elias decided to split the fourth-quarter sack of Philadelphia’s Nick Foles between Anthony Spencer and DeMarcus Ware, giving Ware a streak of seven games with at least a half-sack.

Not that Ware was looking for it.

“The streak is alive, but the thing is we’ve got to keep the streak of winning games,” Ware said.

Spencer was initially given the full sack and forced fumble that led to Jason Hatcher’s touchdown by the Philadelphia stat crew, but Elias made the change official Wednesday.

“Why wouldn’t he?” Spencer said with a smile when asked about Ware wanting credit. “He was there. There’s no doubt about that. I told him there have been plenty of times that I was around and I didn’t get half.”

Ware went from tied for fourth with Green Bay’s Clay Matthews in the league in sacks with nine to tied for third with San Francisco’s Aldon Smith with 9.5. Houston’s J.J. Watt leads the NFL in sacks with 10.5.

Ware’s streak is the second-longest of his career. He shares the league record for consecutive games with a full sack with Simon Fletcher at 10. His 10-game streak came over the 2007-08 season.
