Jay Ratliff is out but Tyron Smith is active

November, 22, 2012
ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Cowboys will not have starting nose tackle Jay Ratliff for today's game against the Washington Redskins because of a groin injury.

It's the fifth game Ratliff has missed this season. He missed the first four games of the 2012 season with a ankle sprain.

Starting left tackle Tyron Smith (high ankle sprain) is active for the game but won't start. Instead, Smith will be replaced by Jermey Parnell. Smith is the swing tackle.

Cornerback Vince Agnew, running back DeMarco Murray, center/guard Ryan Cook, center Phil Costa, wide receiver Kevin Ogletree and defensive end Sean Lissemore are inactive for the Cowboys.

With Felix Jones active for the game despite a knee injury, expect Phillip Tanner and Lance Dunbar to get some significant snaps today.

Redskins inactives are: Rex Grossman, Dezmon Briscoe, Richard Crawford, Adam Gettis, Maurice Hurt, Doug Worthington and Jerome Murphy.
Calvin Watkins joined ESPNDallas.com in September 2009. He's covered the Cowboys since 2006 and also has covered colleges, boxing and high school sports.
