MOBILE, Ala. -- Newly hired defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin said Tuesday the Cowboys are done hiring for the defensive staff.

Rod Marinelli was the final piece as the defensive line coach.

A bulk of the staff from last season remains including linebackers coach Matt Eberflus, secondary coach Jerome Henderson, assistant defensive line coach Leon Lett and assistant secondary coach Joe Baker.

The Cowboys released two defensive coaches: defensive coordinator Rob Ryan and defensive line coach Brian Baker.

"We're done," Kiffin said regarding his staff.

Coach Jason Garrett is still conducting interviews for the offensive staff.

Garrett has to hire special teams, running backs and tight end coaches. The Cowboys are in the process of making changes regarding the offensive playcaller, which could lead to Bill Callahan taking over play-calling duties from Garrett.

The Cowboys might hire Hue Jackson to a wide receiver/passing game coordinators position if Jimmy Robinson leaves the staff. He's currently on the staff but wasn't seen during Senior Bowl practices.

Garrett left some of the practices so he could conduct interviews with prospective candidates.
