Giants sign more reserve/future players

January, 8, 2013
The New York Giants continued to add reserve/future players by signing guard Bryant Browning, guard Chris DeGeare and defensive back David Caldwell.

The 6-4, 325-pound Bryant has been with the Rams, Panthers and Browns. The 6-4, 325-pound DeGeare was Minnesota's 2010 fifth-round pick out of Wake Forest and he started five games in 2010 at left guard. In 2011 and 2012, he was on the Vikings' and Titans' practice squads.

Caldwell, a 5-11 safety from William & Mary, was with the Colts in 2010 on injured reserve. Caldwell started 13 games and had 62 tackles before being waived last summer. He was out of football in 2012.

In addition to those three, the Giants have signed quarterback Curtis Painter, linebacker Jake Muasau, wide receiver Brandon Collins, cornerback Trumaine McBride, wide receiver Kevin Hardy, guard Michael Jasper, defensive tackle Bobby Skinner, tackle Matt McCants, tackle Levy Adcock, guard Stephen Goodwin, tight end Larry Donnell, defensive end Matt Broha, and cornerback Laron Scott to reserve/future contracts.
