The New York Giants are meeting with wide receiver Josh Cribbs and linebacker Aaron Curry on Thursday.

Cribbs visited with the Jets on Wednesday and a source confirmed that he stayed in the area to meet with the Giants, which was first reported by

Cribbs has been on the Giants' radar this offseason but was previously recovering from a surgically repaired torn meniscus in his knee. The Giants can use another receiver to replace Domenik Hixon. Cribbs would give the Giants a proven and dangerous kick returner, allowing David Wilson to focus on his expanded running back duties now that he will compete and share the load with Andre Brown.

The Giants are also taking a look at Curry, the fourth overall pick in the 2009 draft. The linebacker has not played since being waived by the Raiders in November. He was limited to two games with the Raiders last season due to knee issues and has played in a total of 18 games over the last three seasons for the Raiders and Seahawks. The Giants can use another veteran linebacker to strengthen the position.

The Giants will determine how Cribbs and Curry are physically and if either is not only a good fit, but affordable as well. It also remains to be seen how the market is shaping up for both players. Cribbs reportedly has drawn interest from the Raiders.
