Some of the positives (cough, cough) and negatives from Thursday night's 49-19 loss to the Patriots:
THREE UP
1. LaRon Landry. Regardless of the score, this dude never stops playing. He was the Jets' best defensive player, recording eight tackles (two behind the line), forcing a fumble and making a great pass break-up on a throw to speedy TE Aaron Hernandez. Landry appeared to be resposible for a 56-yard scoring catch by Julian Edelman, but there may have been a busted assignment on the play.
2. Jeremy Kerley. He quietly had a solid game (I guess everything is quiet when you lose, 49-19), recording seven receptions for 86 yards. Kerley fumbled once (the Jets recovered), but what's one fumble on a night in which there were so many?
3. Tim Tebow. Yeah, we all know he didn't play. At least he'll be able to tell his grandchildren that he had nothing to do with one of the biggest embarrassments in Jets history.
THREE DOWN
1. Mark Sanchez. This was one of the most insignificant 300-yard passing days in history. In the first 21 minutes, when it was still a competitive game, Sanchez made two huge mistakes that cost the Jets at least 10 points -- an interception in scoring territory and the infamous butt fumble.
2. The other fumblers. Aside from Sanchez, WR Chaz Schilens, KR Joe McKnight and RB Shonn Greene all lost fumbles. Greene's actually came on a fourth-down stuff, so it didn't result in a change of possession, but it still was rather dramatic -- the ball flying out of his hands, 12 yards upfield. In each case, the player did a poor job with ball security. It was stressed all week in practice -- the Patriots are known for forcing fumbles -- yet they let it happen anyway.
3. Brandon Moore's butt. If you need an explanation, you haven't watched enough SportsCenter.

Early thought on #Jets QB comp: Ugh. Sanchez 6-for-11, 3 INTs, 1 sack. (1 INT may have been a sack.) Geno Smith 3-for-10, 1 INT, 1 sack
