JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Rookie WR Stephen Hill suffered a potentially serious knee injury when he went up for a pass and came down awkwardly in the second quarter of the Jets' 17-10 win over the Jaguars Sunday at EverBack Field.
Hill will have an MRI exam Monday to determine the extent of the damage, according to a source. The second-round pick from Georgia Tech hurt the same knee last week, suffering possible cartilage damage. He missed practice time leading into Sunday's game.
Judging by Hill's reaction, this injury could be significant. He writhed in pain and pounded his fist into the turf.
Rex Ryan said he didn't know the extent.
"Man, that was tough," he said. "The young man, I saw him getting better. Hopefully, it's not severe."
Ryan said the same thing after Darrelle Revis hurt his knee -- and it turned out to be season ending.
In other injury news, CB Antonio Cromartie suffered a head injury in a fourth quarter -- a helmet-to-helmet collision with S Yeremiah Bell -- but he returned to the game after being cleared by doctors, the team said.
CB Aaron Berry left with a quadriceps injury.

For those who want Idzik to cut Goodson asap to send message: He's deliberate on big decisions, i.e Revis, Tebow. Figures to do same here.

Idzik's interest in QB market, post-Garrard, shows he's not content with Sanchez/Smith. He wants options. Hardly a vote of conf for Sanchez.

Per @TonyGrossi, the #Jets expressed interest in QB Hoyer before he signed w/ Browns. As noted yesterday, Idzik not content to stand pat.
