A look at the Jets' secondary, breaking down their snap counts (based on a total of 1,072 defensive snaps):
Yeremiah Bell -- 1,063 snaps/99 percent
Antonio Cromartie -- 1,039 snaps/97 percent
LaRon Landry -- 1,024 snaps/96 percent
Kyle Wilson -- 952 snaps/89 percent
Ellis Lankster -- 328 snaps/31 percent
Eric Smith -- 322 snaps/30 percent
Isaiah Trufant -- 117 snaps/11 percent
Darrelle Revis -- 93 snaps/9 percent
Darrin Walls -- 81 snaps/8 percent
Antonio Allen -- 72 snaps/7 percent
Josh Bush -- 16 snaps/1 percent
Donnie Fletcher -- 5 snaps/0.4 percent
Joe McKnight -- 2 snaps/0.2 percent
Analysis: Revis, the best player on the team, played only two games and yet the secondary was easily the best unit on the team -- a credit to secondary coach Dennis Thurman and coordinator Mike Pettine. If Thurman doesn't get the DC job, if Pettine leaves, something is wrong ... The Jets got plenty of bang for the buck from their safeties. Bell and Landry made a combined $4.9 million and rarely came off the field. They missed a total of only 57 snaps. It was a nice accomplishment for Landry, who battled injuries the previous two years ... Not only did Cromartie show more consistency than ever before, but he demonstrated toughness and durability ... Because of injuries, they had to use four nickel backs -- Wilson, Lankster, Trufant and Walls ... Bush was considered more pro-ready than Allen at the time of the draft, but Allen got more PT because of his ability to blitz. Actually, he probably was under-utilized. It was a disappointing year for Bush.
