What does a millionaire owner do on a frigid day in New York? He takes a day trip to a warmer place.

Jets owner Woody Johnson is spending Wednesday in Mobile, Ala., where the NFL coaching and scouting community is camped out this week for the Senior Bowl. Johnson flew down in the morning and will head back in the evening. Owners rarely visit the Senior Bowl, so Johnson's presence turned a few heads. He declined to speak with reporters.

The idea of the brief trip was to spend time with his new GM, John Idzik, who will be formally introduced Thursday at a news conference in Florham Park. Johnson was spotted with Idzik at one of the practice sessions. Later, Johnson, Idzik, Rex Ryan and senior personnel executive Terry Bradway were seen having lunch at a Senior Bowl-organized event under a big tent near one of the fields.

Johnson, Idzik and Ryan will address the media Thursday at the team's facility.
