Mathieu has talent, but he was booted off the LSU team last season because of well-chronicled drug problems. He has spent the last several months trying to rehabilitate his image and draft stock. He said the Jets have expressed "no interest at all," but that hasn't dampened his confidence.
"I expect to go in the first round, yes I do," he said. "I think I'm a first-round talent, but I think I'll fall to the second."
