Earlier this week, Carmelo Anthony's Orange steamrolled through the Hoosiers, Mike Woodson's alma mater, and on Saturday, they did the same thing to the Golden Eagles, where Steve Novak played college ball.
After Syracuse creamed Marquette, 55-39, securing a berth in the Final Four, Anthony took to Twitter saying, "Marquette has just been Taped!!!!!!!" He later tweeted to a few of his former college teammates, "10 years ago we took the Chip, let's do it again!"
Following the win over Indiana, Anthony made Woodson hold an orange while he was addressing reporters after practice. Melo said he would place a wager with Novak, but when he spoke with the media following the Knicks' win over the Bobcats on Friday night, he hadn't decided yet what it would be.
In 2003, in only his freshman year, Anthony led Syracuse to the national championship, upsetting the more-seasoned Kansas Jayhawks, 81-78. This year's Orange will face Florida or Michigan in the semifinals.
