Chris Copeland gained two more suitors on the first official day of free agency: Denver and Indiana.

According to a league source, the Nuggets and Pacers reached out to Copeland's camp on Monday to express interest in the free-agent forward.

The Lakers and Jazz had previously inquired about Copeland, according to a league source.

One Western Conference team made Copeland an offer, though specifics of the offer were unavailable as of late Monday night.

The Knicks made Copeland a qualifying offer last week and have not contacted him since. New York could conceivably offer Copeland its full taxpayer mid-level exception ($3.1 million annually) but is likely waiting to see what other teams offer Copeland first.

J.R. Smith remains the top free-agent priority for the Knicks this summer.

The Knicks, according to one league source, are largely focused on Smith at this point, but they have reached out to gauge the interest of other free agents on the market.

A league source told ESPNNewYork's Jared Zwerling that the Knicks reached out to free-agent big man Brandan Wright to gauge interest. The Lakers, Mavericks, Pistons and Raptors are also interested.

The Knicks also have reportedly inquired about Monta Ellis, Francisco Garcia, Matt Barnes and Carlos Delfino.

They also reportedly have interest in Aaron Brooks and Tony Allen and have contacted Nate Robinson.

Allen and Ellis -- and probably Robinson -- will likely get bigger paydays elsewhere. Garcia and Barnes could provide stability at small forward while Delfino would give the Knicks bench shooting.

Brooks would help fill the gap at backup point guard. He is represented by CAA, the same firm that reps Carmelo Anthony, Smith, Andrea Bargnani and others in the Knicks organization.

New York is limited in what it can offer free agents. The Knicks have the mini mid-level exception ($3.1 million) and veteran's minimum contracts to offer. In addition to re-signing Smith and Copeland, the Knicks will also have to make decisions on Pablo Prigioni and Kenyon Martin.
