Well, that was a busy night for the one division that doesn't still have a team playing, now wasn't it? Links.

Washington Redskins

There are few easy answers when it comes to handling an athlete's knee, and as Robert Griffin III heads for surgery to repair at least one of his ligaments, The Washington Post took a look at some of the complicated factors at work in the injury and the recovery ahead.

While Griffin is the most significant issue facing the Redskins right now, he's not the only one. They have several expiring contracts to address this offseason, including those of Fred Davis, Darrel Young and Lorenzo Alexander.

New York Giants

Ohm's most recent entry in his "Five Giant Issues" series is on cornerback Corey Webster, whose struggles this season after a strong 2011 leave the Giants needing to address that position as part of their offseason plan.

Giants fullback Henry Hynoski got a nice acknowledgement of his fine season from a group devoted to teaching young players good football fundamentals.

Dallas Cowboys

Todd Archer writes that the injuries he had to overcome were no excuse and that Rob Ryan deserved to be fired as Cowboys defensive coordinator.

In explaining the firing, head coach Jason Garrett said the team had decided to "move forward in a different direction philosophically," which has everyone thinking the Cowboys are going to switch to a 4-3 defense. More on that later today.

Philadelphia Eagles

Michael Vick does not know what the future holds, but he claims he burns to get back to the playoffs. Can't imagine the Eagles will offer him a chance to do that for them, but as I have written before, he's better than what a lot of teams have at quarterback and probably will get a chance somewhere.

Jay Gruden, the offensive coordinator of the Cincinnati Bengals, will go to the interview, but he's the latest candidate who doesn't appear interested in the Eagles' head-coaching job.
