Tampa Bay’s only injury of note is cornerback Eric Wright, who has been dealing with an Achilles tendon problem. Wright practiced on a limited basis Friday and is listed as questionable. But I think the fact Wright was practicing at all is probably an indication that he’ll play Sunday against Atlanta.
The Falcons have a much more extensive injury list, highlighted by receiver Julio Jones (ankle), linebacker Sean Weatherspoon (ankle and illness), defensive tackles Peria Jerry (shoulder) and Vance Walker (ribs) and cornerback Asante Samuel (shoulder). All five of those players are listed as questionable.
Jerry did not participate in Friday’s practice. Weatherspoon, Jones, Jerry and Walker each participated on a limited basis.
Running back Michael Turner was listed as probable with a groin injury and practiced fully on Friday.
I’ve got injury reports on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons. We’ll get you reports on the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints when they become available later Friday afternoon.
