It’s been pretty quiet off the field for the Miami Dolphins during the regular season. But that changed Monday morning.

The Associated Press reports Dolphins safety Jonathon Amaya was arrested and charged with battery after allegedly choking a cab driver. The driver was not injured in the incident.

This will not sit well with Dolphins rookie head coach Joe Philbin. He has no tolerance for poor off-the-field behavior and made examples of players such as former Miami receiver Chad Johnson.

Amaya is a backup who recorded six tackles this season for the Dolphins.
