MIAMI -- The Miami Dolphins will take extra precaution in Thursday night's preseason finale against the New Orleans Saints. Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin rested starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill and most of his starters in their fifth preseason game.

Miami released their starting lineup via Twitter before the game. Guard John Jerry and fullback Evan Rodriguez are the only projected starters expected to play. Tannehill and others are dressed for the game and are currently warming up. But they're not expected to play.

The Dolphins didn't want to risk any additional injuries. Miami will travel to play the Cleveland Browns on Sept. 8 in its regular-season opener.
