As we continue through Week 2, most everyone in the NFL is either 1-0 or 0-1. (Thanks to Thursday night football, the New England Patriots are 2-0 and the New York Jets are 1-1.)

So I thought I would get ahead of the curve and pass along the playoff history of teams that start 2-0, 1-1 and 0-2 in the (relatively) modern era. Courtesy of ESPN Stats & Information, the chart gives you the respective percentage chance that your team will make the playoffs based on what has happened in the league since 1990.

Some of you smart ones might not have needed a chart to tell you that 2-0 teams get to the playoffs about two-thirds of the time, while it generally doesn't go well for 0-2 teams. On the bright side, three 0-2 teams have gone on to win the Super Bowl: The 1993 Dallas Cowboys, the 2001 New England Patriots and the 2007 New York Giants.

Have a pleasant weekend. For those interested, I'll be in our all-day chat on the NFL index page Sunday. I'll also post my Sunday "Studs and Duds" ranking by Sunday night and a 30-team NFL Quarterback Report by Sunday morning.
