What do you like best about your job?
I play a sport for a living, and I play in front of people who like what I do.
What movie have you seen more than any other?
"Rudy." I still get goose bumps when he leads the team out onto the field.
What was the worst purchase you ever made?
A helicopter lure. It’s a fishing lure I ordered from an infomercial. It was terrible -- and expensive, about $50. It was a little worm with a helicopter tail that spun on the water, but I never caught one fish with it.
What was the first thought in your head when you woke up this morning?
Food. Breakfast food. That’s always the first thing I think of.
With which pro athlete would you never want to trade places?
An MMA fighter. I’m not a confrontational guy. I admire what those guys do. It’s incredible, but it’s so not me.
What game show would you like to be a contestant on?
"Supermarket Sweep." It doesn’t exist anymore, but I always wanted to be on it. You go around the supermarket and try to get the most money in items. The strategy was to go for big-money items, like turkeys and diapers. It was great.
What was the best vacation you’ve taken?
To Jackson Hole, Wyo., with my family. It was just so pretty out there. It’s beautiful country.
What is one thing you did in the past few years that you never thought you’d do?
Two years ago, I threw out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium. Francisco Cervelli caught it. I don’t think I threw a strike. It was a little high.
If you could go to dinner with anyone, dead or alive, whom would it be?
I’d like to go to dinner with George W. Bush, wherever he wanted to go -- a steakhouse, I’m sure. It’d be cool to pick his brain. I met him when our team at Georgia won the national championship and we went to the White House. I thought he was very nice and very genuine.
What is your most prized possession?
My cocker spaniel, Magill. He’s named after the former tennis coach at the University of Georgia. My dog is black and white, and he's the best.
