Adrian Peterson Pushes Castrol, Marshawn Lynch Goes For Skittles
It’s that time of year again! No, I’m not talking about fall or even football season, but that glorious time when all your favorite NFL stars get to put their names on things for a boatload of cash. I know, I know, try to contain your excitement.
Up first, Minnesota Vikings superstar Adrian Peterson in a super-dramatic, nearly 2-minute spot for Castrol oil featuring agility drills and face paint. What exactly does the running back have to do with engine oil? I have no idea, but I suddenly feel the strange need to get my oil changed.
Next up? Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch in an ad for -- what else? -- Skittles. Because he’s all about that multi-colored fruit candy, boss.
Finally, New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz and New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham bring the LOLs in a new SportsCenter commercial. Joined by their friends, including the mascots for the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles, of course, the group participates in a "SportsCenter" anchor fantasy draft. Public service announcement: Don’t waste a pick on Kevin Negandhi. No matter how much you believe in his desk presence or jaw line.
