We Lady Lions are blessed to have two extremely talented, but also very different point guards in Alex Bentley and Dara Taylor. They are the floor generals of our team, and they are in charge on the court.
DURHAM, N.C.-- Playing basketball, at any level, can take you to incredible places. This summer, my teammates and I had the chance to visit France and Italy for 10 days -- a once-in-a-lifetime experience for all of us.
It's finals week here on campus, and I have heard of some interesting rituals from drinking a bottle of Smart Water before each test to all-night cramming coffee tactics. Then, there's studying to Harry Potter music to make you feel wizardly.
As people have come to know, I have a big sister: Nneka. And she is pretty awesome, WNBA Rookie of the Year status and all. Yes, I'm super proud. As you might also know, I have two younger sisters as well: Olivia and Erica.
One of the most important relationships as a college basketball player, in my opinion, is the one you form with your position coach. When I committed to Penn State way back in the day, Itoro Coleman was going to be my position coach.
This week we head to UConn, where I will be running into some familiar faces. Just like last year in the NCAA tournament, it is always great to be back on the court with my old high school teammate and friend, Caroline Doty.

This past week we traveled across country to Northridge, Calif., for a Thanksgiving tournament. It was my first visit to California, and even though it was a business trip, we also got to have a little fun, too.
Saturday was the last Ole Miss home game of the season, the most exciting by far. It was rivalry week, and the Rebels trounced the much-hated Mississippi State Bulldogs 41-24, ending their three-game Egg Bowl losing streak.
This year, I am especially thankful for the blessings that playing my sport has come with. In particular, I’m grateful to be a part of the Trojan Family. Like many NCAA Division-I athletes, between playing my sport and having to handle all of my school responsibilities, there often isn’t time to make the journey home (to Illinois) for Thanksgiving.
One of the great things about going to Penn State is you are immediately welcomed into a community that feels like a family. You have the chance to meet some pretty amazing people, simply based on the connection of your shared love for the university.

Hi women’s basketball fans! This is Haley Peters, a junior forward for the Duke Blue Devils. As the season officially got started this past weekend, we have yet to play a game. We are deep in the process of getting better every day, getting the freshmen acclimated to our system and standards and trying to build on the lessons we’ve learned and experience we’ve gained from last year and this summer.
