Courtesy of Sonia ThompsonSaturday was the last Ole Miss home game of the season, the most exciting by far. It was rivalry week, and the Rebels trounced the much-hated Mississippi State Bulldogs 41-24, ending their three-game Egg Bowl losing streak.
This year, I am especially thankful for the blessings that playing my sport has come with. In particular, I’m grateful to be a part of the Trojan Family. Like many NCAA Division-I athletes, between playing my sport and having to handle all of my school responsibilities, there often isn’t time to make the journey home (to Illinois) for Thanksgiving.

As the season officially got started this past weekend, we have yet to play a game. We are deep in the process of getting better every day, getting the freshmen acclimated to our system and standards and trying to build on the lessons we’ve learned and experience we’ve gained from last year and this summer.
