Back in 1977, coincidently the same year that Victoria's Secret was founded, avid runner Lisa Lindahl and costume designer friend Polly Smith sewed two jockstraps together to design the first exercise bra. Surprisingly, the "jockbra" or "jogbra" came a decade after Kathrine Switzer became the first woman to officially enter and cross the finish line at the Boston Marathon, presumably without the “support” of a sports bra. Talk about a grueling 26.2 miles!
