Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez will undergo his second hip surgery since 2009 to repair a genetic condition today. So that got us thinking about how much gender plays into susceptibility of injury. Turns out women's joints tend to be more flexible and overpronated than men’s, giving way to increased hip problems, stress injuries and ankle sprains. Best way to keep the doctor away? Nothing new here. Doctors suggest building core strength.
