Duke goes down, milestones in women's hoops

Men's college basketball: All five unbeaten men's college hoops teams were in action, but by the end of the night, only four remained. Ohio State, Syracuse and Kansas all stayed perfect on the year, but the No. 1 Duke Blue Devils fell to unranked Florida State 66-61 in a nail-biter in Tallahassee. The loss snapped the Blue Devils' 25-game winning streak. Fifth-ranked Pittsburgh improved to 4-0 in Big East play with a 72-57 victory over No. 19 Georgetown, while Louisville fell for the first time in conference play, an 88-74 defeat at the hands of No. 7 Villanova.

Women's college basketball: Baylor's Brittney Griner notched her 1,000th career point (in just 51 games!) as the No. 1 Lady Bears' 87-72 defeated Texas. Griner's 27 points led the way to a 12th straight win for Baylor. UConn coach Geno Auriemma notched a milestone Wednesday night as well, as he recorded career win No. 750. Maya Moore's 21 points, eight assists and six rebounds helped the Huskies to an 84-52 victory over St. John's.

NBA: Instant karma's gonna get you ... Just one night after mocking his former team's loss to the Lakers, LeBron James and his Heat also fell to an LA team. Blake Griffin and the Clippers beat Miami 111-105, snapping the Heat's 13-game road winning streak. The Jazz beat the Knicks at their own game last night, outscoring the league's highest-scoring team 131-125. Both teams were busy from three-point range, as the Jazz drained 10 of 22 from beyond the arc and New York made 14 of 29.
