Charles OakleyAP Photo/Phelan M. EbenhackCharles Oakley is now an assistant coach for the Charlotte Bobcats.

In the Pro's Questionnaire, our favorite sports figures take an abridged version of the most famous personality test, the Proust Questionnaire. Charlotte Bobcats assistant coach and New York Knicks legend Charles Oakley is on deck. He reveals his political hopes, a crazy belt buckle and his softer side.

Your main fault:
Charles Oakley: A lot of my comments and my demeanor. I try to be truthful, some people say it hurts but if it's something you believe in you have to go all out. My demeanor is not easy to get along with. But it's the truth.

Your idea of happiness:
CO:Waking up every day, talking to my mother. My college coach always told me in life to one time a day try to help someone.

What is your idea of misery:
CO: Being sick. I've never been sick in life. OK, maybe once.

If not yourself, who would you want to be:
CO: President of the United States.

Your favorite food/drink:
CO: Soul food. Pepsi and a nice glass of wine.

Hero/heroine you admire the most:
CO: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He did a lot for blacks as a civil rights leader. He kept us on the right track to get us to the next station. I've been to the hotel he was shot at in Memphis.

What do you hate most:
CO: I try not to hate. I try not to have that kind of anger inside of me. I can dislike something, but hate is such a strong word.

The natural talent you'd like to be gifted with:
CO: I just go with what God gave me. I try to make myself better in the ways I want to be. You have to work towards it.

Your greatest fear:
CO: My greatest fear used to be dying, but I got over that. I'm fearless now.

Your greatest extravagance:
CO: A belt buckle. It has my initials on it.

Your most treasured possession:
CO: Besides my life I will say my mom.

Your present state of mind:
CO: I try to be positive. You have to be easygoing, and I think you should just let life come.
