North Carolina and Duke have been hearing oohs and aahs about their 2013 recruiting classes for months. Now they’ll have a place to showcase their gems.
Three future Tar Heels and three future Blue Devils were among the 20 players selected Tuesday to the 2013 WBCA High School All-America Game.
The game will be played April 6 at New Orleans Arena, site of the 2013 women’s Final Four, which tips off April 7.
Diamond DeShields, Stephanie Mavunga and Jessica Washington are the three North Carolina commits who have been selected to play in the 22nd annual game that features the nation’s top seniors. Oderah Chidom, Kendall Cooper and Rebecca Greenwell will represent Duke.
Jessica Jackson is the lone invitee who has yet to commit to a school.
