Ieshia Small, the No. 19 prospect in the espnW HoopGurlz Top 100, announced on Wednesday night that she will be attending Baylor next fall.
"It's where I wanted to be for my next four years," the 6-foot senior wing said.
Small, who transferred to Florida State University High School (Tallahassee) for her senior season, joins Imani Wright, the No. 31 prospect, Nina Davis, the No. 52 prospect, Breanna Hayden, the No. 82 prospect, and Khadijiah Cave.
The Lady Bears' 2013 class was ranked 20th in the nation prior to Small's verbal.
Small, a McDonald's All-American, has overcome tragedy in her teens. Her mother died of a heart attack in March 2011 and her father died when she was 13. Small was adopted by her club coach, Kimberly Davis Powell, in the fall.
