Maya Moore scores 53 points in Chinese finals

Maya Moore scored 53 points to lead Shanxi in the first game of the Chinese women's basketball league finals on Tuesday.

Moore also grabbed 13 rebounds and had five assists in Shanxi's 96-92 win over Zhejiang, according to a report in China Daily.

With 45 seconds left, Moore hit two free throws to give Shanxi the lead.

Moore scored 36 points in Game 2 of the series Thursday night, which Zhejiang won 99-88.

In Game 3 on Saturday, Moore recorded a triple-double with 43 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists to lead Shanxi to a 112-98 win. Shanxi can win the championship with one more victory.

The final two games will be moved to Hangzhou instead of Zhejiang's home court, according to a report by CRI, after fans attacked a referee following Game 1.

Chinese fans have dubbed Moore, who led the league in scoring this season, the "Invincible Queen," according to China Daily.

Moore averaged 16.4 points a game for the Minnesota Lynx last season.
